Yeah, you should have seen me out in the fields, turning the feather this way and that way, exploring the play of light, noticing how the colors change, kinda wierd I know but it was really interesting to photograph. Thanks Catalina!
Glad you are in a position to allow them to go barefoot...something else, the photo of Winn? Its really good braidwork, I especially liked the pineapple knot or is it a worked turks head, looks to be a worked head, a hackmore knot,5 bight 3 strand? Did you use polyester? Tho' it seems dacron. Well, its been years since I've braided horse gear, forgotten a lot. And even then, its a forgotten art... But I've noticed all your gear looks nice and very well taken care of. Have a good one goddess!
Sorry goddess, hackamore, sorry to misspell it. I took a look at it again, I think its a knot called a fiador knot, or Theodor. Variation of the diamond knot and useful as a bottle knot. Not that anyone cares but...its nice gear :-)
OK you've got me on the knots...I think you are talking about the green rope halter he has on his head in the photo of him tied to the trailer..right? Not a hackamore...that is more of a riding bridle that you can use instead of a bit. Thanks for the nice complement on my gear!
My boys are bearfoot because it is better for the health of their feet and I don't do real hard riding any more so shoes are necessary.
Me too. It bothers me to be in a bad mood. I try to pull out as quickly as I realize what happening. Altough sometimes it seems as if I want to be mad or angry. Usually that happens only when I wake up to the fact that I've just dumped on somebody else, for no good reason except that I was angry. Maybe my choice...then when I realize what happens, then I start to feel guilty. Bottom line is I try real hard to maintain a level, even disposition. Sorry to ramble....:-)
