Got these candies from my American friend and have kept them inside the fridge for almost 6 months LOL They're too sweet for me, and I just eat them when I'm really hungry (but get nothing else to eat).

Days Long Gone

I noticed something this week as I was driving to work, they have torn down my old grade school. I attended Jacob A. Riis Elementary School from 1968 to 1976. The foundation for the person I am today was set right there at the corner of Lytle & Taylor Street. Now, there is nothing there but a pile of rubble. Man, time really does march on. I still have many fond memories of my days at Riis, now that is all I have. I'm a little sad about it, because I guess it just reminds me that someday, one day, I too will be just a faded memory in the sands of time. Well, life goes on.

Chocolate Milkshake

I don't like milkshake
I don't like chocolate ice cream
Maybe I'm weird

My Mom told me
I even didn't like milk
when I was a kid

I wish I liked milk
so I was not as short as
the way I am now

But now I drink milk
learning that it's good for me
I want to stay strong

Still though, please do not
ask me to drink chocolate milk
Give me the plain one

I want to be strong
I wish I were much taller
Blame it to the milk

Going to bed now
I have to stop this haiku
it's really pointless

TGIF Evening!

I was chatting with Susan and was about to do my Vox Hunt and QotD when someone called out my name in front of my house. It's Agek and Ronald! Yay! They live very close to my place, and they sometimes took me out for fun. Just hanging out somewhere in our area, chatting, gossiping, having some food :D I almost had nothing tonight, just 2 bottles of Teh Botol and a plate of cheese french fries that we three shared. But I was so happy that they saved me from the dull moment :)

They shared this "Kris Kros Hotdog" themselves. Oh, and also the chocolate milkshake.

Ronald is actually my friend's younger brother and the last few years, I've been closer to him and his wife (Agek) than to his sis - which now we don't really keep in touch often for some reason. They have 2 adorable kids and I will show you their pictures someday :)

I missed Indonesian Idol tonight, but I was happy. ^* ~~I also don't know who'll go to Thomas Cup final now.~~ Hehe. I even haven't taken shower! And I will meet Mr. Ducky soon.

Oh, and thank you everyone who's joined Friday 13 and played up this week!

^* 01:19 am. Just found out that Korea won. Indonesia lost. Maybe we should convert our currency into "won" like Koreans, so we'll win the game next time. Tee-hee.

My adventures from yesterday

I met a lovely gal in Photography class, Sherry. She as bee thinking of starting a blog here, and I hope she does. I think she would like it. Anyway, we decided to go out and explore the Tribal graveyard and some abandoned houses yesterday with our cameras. At the graveyard it was very interesting to see so many names there that are names for places in my state, like Seattle and Cowlitz. It was also kind of disturbing to see so many small markers with no names on them, just the words "at rest". So many anonymous. w

After that we went and found these three abandoned houses I have seen several times out of the side window of our car. They were in such bad decay I would not dare go inside, especially the first building, the floors had fallen away from the walls, and molding on the bottom of the wall was framing open air below it. The other side was another house that was filled with garbage. Piles of trash bags ripped open by people looking for treasure, animals looking for food, and hard winds and rains. We jokes as we walked around about how recent our tetanus shot was, and how if we fell through the soft spot on the ground to save our cameras. It was so overstimulating. So much stuff. Then there was a two story shop, it was burned recently. Opening up the roof for lovely skylights.

We went to lunch at the Organic Comfort food cafe, my new favorite eatery. So Yummy! We chatted a little before she had to get off to her kiddo's who were home from school. I downloaded my pics from my camera and it hit me, I was SO tired! I slept SO hard last night, I think I might even take a nap today! Still Tired! But it is so nice, I have to get a bike ride in. I wonder where Clementine (bike) will take Ruby (camera) and I today.

Shorts bits

1. I have received my red Blackberry 8310 Curve - the Red Crimson edition. It is spectacular. Pics made with it are not as good though but nevermind, push email works like a breeze.

2. Yesterday it was my birthday. Look what the sky made to me (yup, another rainbow present):
